Major streets in the Da Nang centre have fallen quieter following the municipal administration's mandatory restrictions to curb the spread of COVID-19. As observed by DA NANG Newspaper reporters, the number of road users has significantly plunged in recent days.

Da Nang has temporarily halted all passenger transport services operated by taxies and contract vehicles with fewer than nine seats across the city, including ride-hailing apps like GrabCar, from 6:00 am on May 17 until new further notice. Many streets in the city inner, therefore, turn tranquil with a few of road users. Here is a photo of the western end of the ‘Song Han’ (Han River) Bridge taken on the evening of May 18.
