Recent times have seen the great efforts exerted by the local authorities and locals, and especially, the significant contribution of the forces doing testing and epidemiological investigation missions.

In the battle with the raging COVID-19 wave, although not directly involved in treating positive patients, the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control (CDC) staff are really "warriors" at the forefront of the COVID-19 battle.
Overcoming all specific difficulties, including the high risk of infection, they silently devoted themselves during daytime and nighttime to making a significant contribution to the fight against the coronavirus resurgence.
Doctor Ton That Thanh, the Director of the city's CDC said: Upon receiving samples from locals, the CDC staff immediately conduct tests and data input. Everyone is working in a race against time to get test results as soon as possible for the sake of COVID-19 prevention and control”.
During the past nearly 4 months, especially about the last 3 weeks, during the practice of stricter COVID-19 prevention restrictions, the CDC medical staff rarely has time to rest. Every day, tens of thousands, even up to hundreds of thousands of samples from districts are sent to functional agencies for testing. Along with that, the input of data on patients’ samples, information extraction and contact-racing are conducted in parallel.
According to doctor Thanh, every day, the CDC and other testing laboratories receive about 120,000 samples from locals, of which 850,000 are tested by the CDC. This puts a lot of work pressure on this agency’s staff.
The fight against COVID-19 is still complicated, which means that the city's CDC staff continue to work hard around the clock. Regardless countless difficulties, hardships and dangers, such ‘warriors’ will still be in full swing to contributing to driving back the virus spread.
