The COVID-19 pandemic has made the holiday a little quieter this year, but the joy of freedom remains in the heart of Vietnamese people. Unlike previous years, Da Nang citizens this year did not leave their homes and didnot organize parties for National Day celebration as the city is under strict stay-at-home mandates. However, streets and alleys across Da Nang are being adorned with Vietnamese national flags, creating a vibrant vibe, and helping the city look fresh and vibrant. To Da Nang citizens hanging the national flag outside their houses on Independence Day is an expression of pride.
