Increasing checks on road users in Da Nang after COVID-19 restrictions eased
Da Nang has basically brought COVID-19 outbreak under control after 20 days of tougher COVID-19 curbs. Hence, the municipal administration has announced ease of some of COVID-19 restrictions from 8:00 am on September 5 as the city enters new phase of its battle against the deadly disease. As stipulated in the Da Nang government’s Directive No. 05/CT-UBND, the government employs different restriction measures based on the severity of COVID-19 cases in red, yellow, green zone categories.
We observed on Monday morning, September 6 that Da Nang streets saw an increased number of road users who are allowed to return to work in government agencies and departments along with businesses. The taskforce at the checkpoints increased their checks on road users in a bid to keep people off the streets for nonessentials.
