Police and military personnel help locals pull their boats ashore to weather Typhoon Conson

Police and military personnel in Da Nang on Friday morning helped residents in Son Tra District’s Tho Quang Ward pull their boats ashore as typhoon Conson continues to gain strength and it will affect northern part of Da Nang.

Tho Quang Ward Party Committee Secretary Duong Thanh Ha said that the armed forces and local people are working together to pull fishing boats from the water as soon as possible in order to mitigate storm damage to local people’s properties.

Currently, a combined total of 457 large fishing boats are anchored in the Tho Quang Fishing Wharf while boats docking at the transverse area will be pulled out of water within today.
