About 5km from Lai Chau City, the San Thang Market converges the cultural identities of some ethnic minority groups in Northwestern Viet Nam, including Tay, Mong, Dao, Giay and Lu. It only opens every Thursday and Sunday mornings.

On sale at the market are many typical products of locals, such as wild birds and chickens, pigs, ducks, precious medicines, honey and traditional handicraft products.

Let’s take around the market through some amazing photos, captured by our reporter Doan Hao Luong, during his recent visit to this place.
