Cheerful street dance programme in March

The Street Dance programme themed ‘Da Nang in March’ took place on Saturday evening on a section of Tran Hung Dao between its intersections with Ly Nam De and Trieu Viet Vuong in Son Tra District.

Co-organised by the Da Nang Cinema and Culture Centre, the Son Tra District authorities and the Da Nang Junior College of Culture and Arts, the event aimed to celebrate the 47th anniversary of the city’s Liberation Day (March 29).

During the programme, a combined total of nearly 250 artistes and actors from Son Tra District, the Junior College of Culture and Arts and local dance clubs performed Vietnamese and international musical compositions with joyful and bustling tunes of such highly-popular dances as pasodop, rumba, chachacha, tango, disco, salsa and bachata combined with dancers getting dressed in beautiful and youthful costumes.

The Street Dance programme is one of a series of cultural events and festivals which are planned to be organised along both sides of the Han River in 2022 with the aim to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere for local residents and tourists when coming to Da Nang.
