Trekking the peak of Putaleng to discover the beauty of azaleas

Putaleng is in the Hoang Lien Son mountain range in Ho Thau Commune, Tam Duong District, about 20km from Lai Chau City, Lai Cau Province.
The 3,049m-high peak, known as one of the roofs of Indochina, ranks third in height after Fansipan (3,143 meters) in the neighboring province of Lao Cai and Pusilung (3,089 meters) in Lai Chau.
Most notably, April is azalea season. At an altitude of 2,900m, hundreds of ancient azalea trees are fully blooming.
