The Ong Dien Bridge spanning the Co Co River opened to traffic in late April. This meaningful traffic work helps to link Da Nang with Quang Nam Province, creating leverage for socio-economic development in the two localities.

Work started on the Ong Dien Bridge on July 30, 2020. The more than VND300 billion bridge was developed by the Quang Nam Provincial Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects. The bridge was technically opened to traffic on April 29, 2022 to celebrate the 47th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30) and the 136th anniversary of International Labour Day (May 1). |

The bridge was built over a section of the Co Co River which flows through Cam Ha Commune, Hoi An City, and Dien Duong Ward, Dien Ban Town, Quang Nam Province. |

The 4-lane, 242.4m-long, 20.5m-wide bridge is designed with Extradosed span structure of 65+100+65m. |

The Ong Dien Bridge connects the coastal route DT603, which links Da Nang and Quang Nam Province, with Cam Kim Bridge in Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province, and National Highway 14H. |

The approach road to the bridge is 493m in length and 11.5m in width, with a road surface width of 10.5 m and roadside width of 0.5 m each. |

The approach road to the bridge is planted with many trees to create a spacious landscape. |

The bridge is installed with electric lighting system, 1m-high railing, to ensure traffic safety for road vehicles. |

The construction of the Ong Dien Bridge is part of the project on dredging, emergency floodwater cleanup and saltwater intrusion mitigation on the Co Co River, which flows through parts of both Da Nang and Quang Nam Province. |

Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Quang highlighted the significance of the opening of the Ong Dien Bridge in contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of both Quang Nam Province and Da Nang. |
