Da Nang tourism pins hopes of tourism revival this summer

After Viet Nam allowed the full resumption of tourism activities in a new normal on March 15, Da Nang jubilantly welcomed tourists back with a series of tourism activities and stimulus programmes, bringing a hope for its post-pandemic tourism revival in particular, and its economic recovery in general.

Within the framework of the 2022 tourism stimulus programme themed "Enjoy Da Nang", a wide array of engrossing cultural and entertainment activities are being held across the city to satisfy the growing demands of visitors during the April 30 and May 1 holiday and mark the real revival of tourism after two-year hiatus due to COVID-19.

Da Nang’s tourism industry welcomes guests in a new situation with a focus on five key tasks of preparing human resources and ensuring service quality; developing new tourism products; ensure security and safety of visitors; and boosting marketing communications and promotion.

During the ongoing Da Nang Tourism Beach Season programme 2022, numerous exciting cultural and sports activities are being held across the city, including the opening of tourism activities at My An Beach in Ngu Hanh Son District, a series of environmental protection and tourism promotion activities at tourist beaches and Son Tra Peninsula, a bikini flashmob performance, and art sand sculpture contest.

According to the municipal Department of Tourism, it is estimated that from April 27 to May 3, about 600 domestic and international flights are expected to land at Da Nang International Aiport, including 18 flights from Singapore, Thailand and South Korea.
