In recent days, Tet flower growers across Da Nang have been busy keeping lights on throughout the night to help flowers blossom in time for Tet Festival 2024 which will fall from February 8 - 14, 2024.

Coming to the Duong Son flower village in Hoa Chau Commune, Hoa Vang District, at night, you can easily see flower gardens with lamps lit throughout the night. Lighting lamps at night is one of the important techniques used to help flowers grow as desired.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Sung, the owner of the Duong Son flower garden, Hoa Chau Commune, Hoa Vang District, said that due to the unusual weather this year, flowers did not grow as expected, so she and other flower growers have to work day and night, weeding, fertilising and spraying pesticides.

“This year, my family is planting more than 1,000 flower pots. All flower pots are being carefully nurtured with the aim of producing best flowers to supply the market during Tet" Mrs. Sung added.

Similarly, Mr. Ly Phuoc Van's 1,280 m² flower garden is being carefully taken care of with lights turned on overnight.

This year, the People's Committee of Hoa Vang District has spent more than VND4 billion on expanding and asphalting roads with a total length of more than 400m and a width of 7.5m in flower growing areas, creating favourable conditions for transporting goods, especially flower harvesting.

In addition, flower growing gardens in Hoa Chau Commune of Mr. Ly Phuoc Van (1,280m²) and Pham Ngoc Mai (1,000m²) have been equipped with modern irrigation systems and protective net houses, as well as provided with many flower varieties with a budget of more than VND514 million.

Currently, many households in neighboring communes are also receiving financial support from authorities in Hoa Vang District to upgrade irrigation systems and plant flower varieties of all kinds.
