New tourism spaces and products have been recently launched in Da Nang, contributing to the development and diversification of the city's tourism activities. This helps woo more tourists to the city and create a special highlight for the landscape along both banks of the iconic Han River.

Since May 31, authorities in Son Tra District have piloted a plan to organise night-time tourism services on the Nguyen Van Troi Pedestrian Bridge and at a public park east of the foot of the bridge in a bid to introduce, promote and attract locals and tourists.

In the first phase of the project, the district cleaned up the entire area, planted new trees, added decorative lighting systems, installed stages and decorative frames, and connected water supply and drainage systems, ....

There are five counters trading in night-time tourism services, one children’s play area, and the 170m-long "Colorful Road" check-in point on the road leading to Nguyen Van Troi Bridge at a total budget of more than VND6 billion.

With the completion of the first phase, the park east of the foot of the Nguyen Van Troi Bridge has a new, spacious appearance, contributing to beautifying a large space connecting the two banks of the Han River, and creating the unique beauty of the bridge bearing the city's historical mark.

In the second phase, Son Tra District continues to upgrade, design, and renovate facilities, infrastructure, flower gardens, lighting systems, floral models, auto-rickshaws, and check-in points on bridge. Heed will be on organizing events, festivals and many entertainment and service activities to attract more residents and tourists.

The 1.2km-long Bach Dang Walking Street, with a section from the Dragon Bridge to the Tran Thi Ly Bridge, located on the extended Bach Dang route, was officially inaugurated June 7.

The operating time on the walking street is between 3:00 pm and midnight every day until 2028. The innermost lane on the east side is used to arrange 5 clusters of mobile sales vehicles (each cluster of 3 vehicles) during weekdays. The remaining three lanes are organised for one-way traffic, with a maximum speed limit of 40km/h per hour and motor vehicle restrictions per hour.

The inauguration of Bach Dang walking street provides the good opportunity for local people and tourists to enjoy many unique cultural, artistic and street art activities, as well as commercial and culinary service activities in a new, spacious and modern cultural space.

Along the sidewalk on Bach Dang Street, there are 3 clusters of mobile sales kiosks (each cluster of 4 kiosks) alternating with clusters of vending carts. The kiosks use 20-foot dry containers with a length of 6m and a width of 2.5m.

Bach Dang Wharf, located right on the road leading to Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, has been invested and renovated by the city into a marina with park space, walking gardens and many amenities to serve tourists.

A combined total of VND 7,260 billion will be spent on implementing 38 projects for the development of the yacht industry and related services in Da Nang during the 2023-2050 period.

New tourist spaces have been formed along both banks of the Han River, creating attractive and new experiences for tourists, and contributing to the development of the night-time economy in the city.
