The Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Phung Tan Viet, and other city leaders visited the Consulate General of Russia in Da Nang on Tuesday on the occasion of the 23^rd anniversary of Russia’s National Day (12 June).  They extended their congratulations to the consulate staff.

The Russian Consul General, Mr Dikushin Valentin, thanked the local leaders for their care over the past years.  He also remarked that Russia always considers Viet Nam to be a good ally, partner and close friend in Southeast Asia.

The Russian diplomat said that he felt greatly honoured and privileged to work in the city as well as to receive the warm greetings from Vietnamese and foreign friends on his country’s National Day.  He also expressed his desire that the two countries would further deepen their friendly relationship.
