During his meeting on Wednesday with the Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Phung Tan Viet, the Director of Ha Noi Branch of Mitsui Group, Mr Kazutaka Kiuchi, said that the purpose of his visit was to learn about the local investment climate.  He added that it was also part of the activities to mark the 40^th anniversary of Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties.

The Japanese Director said that the Mitsui Group was very keen to expand its market into Da Nang because of the rapid local growth and the success of numerous Japanese investment projects in the city in recent years. 

Vice Chairman Viet briefed his guest on the city’s development strategies in high-quality services and hi-tech industries in order to create high added values. 

The city leader also took the opportunity to call on the Mitsui Group to invest in the Hi-tech Park, the dedicated IT and the 2^nd software parks.  He also said that he would like the group to establish a showroom in the city to introduce its products, technologies and services to the local residents. 

Vice Chairman Viet vowed that the local authorities would create very favourable conditions for the group to operate their business effectively in the city over the long term.
