About 200 war veterans gathered in Da Nang on Sunday to mark the 65th anniversary of Vietnamese voluntary soldiers and experts fighting and working in Laos (19 August).
The participants relived their unforgettable and glorious memories of their time in Laos. In addition, they encouraged each other to join efforts with local authorities and residents to make Da Nang a civilised and prosperous city.
They also stressed the need to uphold the traditions of Uncle Ho's soldiers, as well as publicise and educate the younger generations about patriotism and the national revolutionary tradition, with a focus on promoting the faithful friendship with international friends which were established by Uncle Ho.
