The city leader asked JETRO to provide even more support for the city, especially for local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to further promote the development of local tourism, services, trade and other sectors.
Mr Viet said that he would like JETRO to coordinate with Da Nang’s representative office in Tokyo and the city’s Investment Promotion Centre to organise seminars for local SMEs about seeking cooperation opportunities with Japanese partners.
Established in 1958, JETRO is a non-profit government-related organisation under the management of the Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). The organisation is assigned to promote balanced and harmonious trade and investment relationships between Japan and other countries worldwide. JETRO now has 80 overseas offices in 59 countries, and 38 local offices across Japan.
