On Thursday, the Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Phung Tan Viet, received the Ambassador of Mozambique to Viet Nam, Mr Gamilied Munguambe.   The city leader briefed his guest on the city’s remarkable socio-economic achievements over recent years.  He also highlighted the great potential for bilateral cooperation between Da Nang and Mozambique.

Vice Chairman Viet said that he would like the Mozambican diplomat to appeal for more businesses from his country to learn about the city’s investment climate.  He also suggested that many seminars and exchange meetings between Da Nang and businesses from Mozambique should be held to help them understand more about the investment mechanisms and related policies of each locality.

The visiting guest said that his country and Viet Nam share many similarities in geographical position, especially their long coastlines which could bring great cooperative opportunities in the fishery sector. 

He noted that his country wants to further promote bilateral cooperation with Da Nang in such aspects as transportation, information and communications, the economy, and training.
