On Tuesday, the Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Phung Tan Viet, played host to a group of Chinese businesspeople, led by the Chairman of an electronics company in Shenzhen City.

The Chinese guest said that Da Nang has become an attractive destination in Viet Nam for Chinese businesses who are seeking investment opportunities.  He added that his group would introduce the city’s incentive policies to the business community in the Zhu Jiang area and appeal for investments.

Vice Chairman Viet promised that the city authorities would create favourable conditions for any foreign investors.

Over recent years, Da Nang has established bilateral cooperative relations with China in many aspects.

In 2013 the city's total export turnover to China reached 40 million USD, about an 18% increase over the same period the previous year.  There are now 7 Chinese and 9 Hong Kong businesses operating in the city, with a total investment capital of 54 million USD.

The city welcomed over 100,000 Chinese tourists over the past year.  The 2 countries also promoted their bilateral cooperation in language training.
