Da Nang and Khon Kaen Province sign Letter of Intent
On Thursday morning, the Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, had a meeting with a delegation of deputy governors from Thailand’s Khon Kaen Province, led by Mr Prasert Luachananon.
Vice Chairman Tuan said that his city wants to cooperate with the province in such aspects as trade, tourism, education and training, and science and technology. He stressed the need for the 2 localities to hold regular trading fairs, and to facilitate their businesses to boost bilateral cooperative relations in many aspects, especially in road tourism through the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC).

The Deputy Governor remarked that his province and Da Nang share many similarities in economic development strategies. In particular, Da Nang has the advantage of being a seaport, whilst Khon Kaen Province is emerging as an economic hub of northeast Thailand.
During their talks, the leaders of the 2 localities signed a Letter of Intent to establish their bilateral cooperative relations, creating a premise for the establishment of official cooperative relations later.
