Russian and Laotian Consuls General extend Tet greetings to city leaders

On Monday morning, the Russian Consul General in Da Nang, Mr Valentin M Dikushin, and the Laotian Consul General, Mr Phommaseng Khamsene, visited and extended their Tet wishes to the Secretary of the municipal Party Committee, Mr Tran Tho, for the upcoming Tet Festival.    

The Russian diplomat said that he was very impressed with the city’s dynamic development over the past year.  He expressed his delight that the city had met or even exceeded its socio-economic development targets.  He believed that Da Nang would continue to record more achievements, as well as create powerful breakthroughs to make Da Nang a dynamic and liveable city in the coming years.

The Laotian Consul General thanked the city’s authorities for their great support to the southern provinces of Laos.  He said that he would like the Da Nang authorities to continue giving assistance to those Laotian localities which have set up cooperative programmes with the city in order to improve the living standards of their residents.

Secretary Tho spoke highly of the great efforts made by the Laotian diplomat in boosting their long-lasting traditional ties and lifting their cooperative relationships to new levels. 

On the same day, the Consuls General also visited and presented gifts to the municipal People’s Committee Chairman Van Huu Chien.
