City leader extends Tet wishes to some of local companies

On Thursday evening, the Da Nang Party Committee Secretary, Mr Tran Tho, extended his Tet wishes to leaders and staff of the city’s Urban Environment Company ahead of Lunar New Year’s Eve. 

Secretary Tho applauded the company’s workers for their active involvement in collecting rubbishes from local streets to make the city cleaner during the festival.  In addition, he spoke highly of their efforts in tackling environmental pollution caused by the 11th storm of last year.  The company’s leaders were also asked to increase their checks of cleaning up local streets, beaches along with entertainment areas during Tet.

On the same day, Secretary Tho also visited the Da Nang Power Company and wished its leaders and staff a joyful festival.   He praised the company for its remarkable achievements last year with a focus on ensuring the safety and stablibilty of the city's power supply system .  He also took opportunity to urge the company to do its utmost to satisfy high local demands of electricity during the festival.

The city leader also said that he hopes the company will continue to gain more success in the New Year as well as to contribute more to the city’s budget.  He also stressed the need to ensure sufficient power supplies for local businesses to help the city implement the “Year for Businesses 2014” programme effectively.
