On Tuesday afternoon, the Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee, Mr Tran Tho, held a reception for a delegation from the Communist Party of China, led by the Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee, Mr Hu Chunhua. 

Secretary Tho applauded the visit by the visiting delegation and briefed them on the city’s socio-economic development over recent years.  On behalf of the party, government and people of the city, he wished the visiting guests all good health.  The city leader said he hopes that the traditional friendship between Viet Nam and China in general, and Da Nang and Guangdong Province in particular, would be further deepened.

Secretary Hu Chunhua said that the purpose of his visit was to enhance exchange activities between the Parties and governments of the two countries as well as to boost the bilateral practical cooperation between Guangdong Province and Viet Nam.

The visiting guest remarked that his province wants to boost the bilateral exchange programmes with Da Nang due to its importance as the economic, cultural and educational hub of the central region.  The Chinese secretary said that Guangdong Province and Da Nang have great potential for tourism development thanks to a large number of potential visitors from China.  He added that his province is seeing an increasing number of businesses who want to expand their investment into other countries.

Previously, the Chinese delegation had visited the Keyhinge Toys Viet Nam Company located in the Hoa Khanh Industrial Park in Lien Chieu District.
