At the 9^th extraordinary session of the municipal People's Council, which opened in the city on Monday morning, the Director of the Da Nang Department of Planning and Investment, Mr Huynh Duc Tho, was elected the new People’s Committee Vice Chairman for the remainder of the 2011 - 2016 tenure.  Mr Tho was assigned to replace Mr Nguyen Xuan Anh, who has been appointed the municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary.

Born on 10 April 1962, newly-elected Vice Chairman Tho gained his Bachelor’s degree in National Economic Planning and his Master's in Science in Public Relations.
