Thai reporters visit the city
At the invitation of the Da Nang Journalists’ Association, a group of Thai news reporters are paying a visit to Viet Nam from 20 to 25 April. The visiting delegation, led by the Chairman of Chiang Mai Province’s Journalists’ Association, Mr Amnat Jongyotying, are representatives from the province’s Journalists’Association and local media. Da Nang Newspaper’s Editor-in-Chief and Chairman of the local Journalists’ Association, Mr Mai Duc Loc, along with other representatives from the city’s Association, warmly received them.

The visit is part of an exchange between the journalists’ associations of the two countries and marks the 21st anniversary of the bilateral journalism cooperation. During their stay in Viet Nam, the Thai guests will share their experiences in journalism and their professional skills with leaders from journalists’ associations in the provinces of Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Thua Thien-Hue.
Addressing the reception, Mr Jongyotying said that he and many of the journalists have visited Viet Nam many times, and they were very impressed by Da Nang’s rapid growth and its beauty. He added that Da Nang is taking every opportunity to accelerate its socio-economic development into the future. The visiting guest also expressed his belief that reporters from Da Nang and Chiang Mai Province will strive to boost the bilateral friendship between the two localities, and between the two countries as a whole. He also said he hopes that through media channels, more diplomacy exchanges will be organised to boost bilateral friendly relations for mutual happiness and sustainable peace in the years ahead.
