Vice President of Lao National Assembly visits the city
On Monday morning, the Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council, Mr Huynh Nghia, hosted the Vice President of the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, Dr Xaysomphone Phomvihane, during his working visit to the city.
Vice Chairman Nghia briefed his guest on the city's socio-economic developments, and the local policies aimed at building Da Nang into a liveable city.

Vice President Phomvihane thanked the city leaders for their warm welcome and applauded the city for its remarkable achievements over recent years. He also spoke highly of the city’s great efforts in the implementation of cooperative programmes between the city and the Laotian south-central provinces.
The visiting guest took the opportunity to introduce his host to his country’s own socio-economic development, and the activities of its National Assembly. He said he hoped that their bilateral cooperative relations would be further strengthened in order to promote an even stronger traditional friendship between the two countries.
