At 2 am on Tuesday, a Chinese ship intentionally rammed into the QNg 94290 fishing boat from Quang Ngai Province’s Binh Son District whilst it was operating in Viet Nam’s territorial waters. 

The owner of the damaged boat, 49-year-old Phan Cu, said that the collision happened when he and 12 other local fishermen on board 2 fishing vessels were heading out to the Hoang Sa fishing grounds.  The Chinese ship’s aggressive action caused slight damage to his boat.

On Thursday, the Son Tra District Border Guard Station made a report on this incident and presented it to relevant agencies.
