The Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Home Affairs, Mr Vo Cong Chanh, has been appointed the Department’s director and Chairman of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) Islands District People’s Committee.  Mr Chanh will replace the Department’s former director, Mr Dang Cong Ngu, who has retired.  Newly-elected Director Chanh was also elected the Deputy Head of the Organisation Board of the municipal Party Committee.

Born in 1971, Mr Chanh gained his Master's degree in literature.  As Deputy Director of the Home Affairs Department, he was responsible for government building work, the city’s administrative borders, and the organisational structure for permanent employees in all local districts.
