Boosting bilateral cooperation with Lao Women's Union
A 48-member delegation from the Lao Women’s Union, led by its President Sysay Leudedmuonsone, recently paid a working visit to the Da Nang Women's Union.
On behalf of the municipal Women's Union, Chairwoman Do Thi Kim Linh remarked that the visit by the high-ranking female officials would help to further deepen the solidarity between the people of Da Nang and Laos, and strengthen their bilateral ties.

Chairwoman Linh also briefed her guests about the remarkable activities and achievements of the city’s women’s union over recent years. The city has launched programmes including “Women actively involved in learning, working creatively, and building happy families”, “Helping 1,000 local women out of poverty”, “For poor women and children”, and “Golden pigs to help the poor overcome their difficulties”.
In response, President Sysay Leudedmuonsone thanked the local Women's Union for their warm welcome. She said that she was delighted at Da Nang's rapid growth over recent years, and spoke highly of the local women union’s activities during the period. She expressed her hope that more bilateral cooperation activities will be promoted in the near future. The aims are to improve the quality of life of women in Laos and Da Nang, as well as in Viet Nam as a whole.
In the afternoon of the same day, the delegation visited the Lao Consulate in the city.
