On Tuesday, the Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Phung Tan Viet, warmly received the Head of the representative office of the Japanese company Metawater in Ha Noi, Mr Shigeru Mizutani.

Mr Mizutani said that his company is willing to provide technical assistance for the city’s drip dispersal wastewater disposal system.  A pilot system has been installed at the Phu Loc wastewater treatment plant, and it has been adapted for the weather conditions and climate in Viet Nam.  The technical assessment of the pilot system was completed in March 2014.  As a result, the initial investment and operating costs for the Metawater system are lower than that of traditional methods.  In addition, the new system will help to save electricity, and it has a longer life than the previous system.
