Boosting bilateral cooperative ties with South Korea
On Wednesday morning, a permanent member of the Da Nang People's Council (PC), Mr Ngo Xuan Thang, played host to a group from the PC of Andong City in South Korea, which was led by its Chairman, Mr Kim Han Gyu.
Chairman Kim applauded the city's remarkable socio-economic achievements over recent years. He said that Da Nang has become an attractive destination for both visitors and investors thanks to its amazing nature and the great efforts of the city authorities and residents. He also said that his city is willing to promote bilateral cooperation in trade, the economy and culture. This will help to lift the bilateral ties to new heights in the future.

Mr Thang remarked that his city will continue to make every effort to fully tap its potential and strengths in order to further develop Da Nang as a large urban area and economic hub in the central region.
Currently, twenty businesses from Da Nang have trade relations with businesses from South Korean localities. The two-way import-export turnover between Da Nang and South Korea hit an estimated 93.2 million USD in 2013.
