Ireland provides assistance to the disabled

During his meeting on Monday afternoon with the Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Huynh Duc Tho, the Irish Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Viet Nam, Mr Damien Cole, said that he was very impressed by the city’s dynamic growth over recent years.  He also remarked that his government would continue to implement a project on increasing the capacity and sustainability of early detection and timely intervention of children with disabilities in the city.

The Irish Ambassador vowed that he would do his utmost to appeal for more investors from his country to invest in information technology, education, and training high-quality human resources in the city.  He expressed his belief that Da Nang would become a modern, dynamic and creative model city in Viet Nam.

In reply, Vice Chairman Tho pledged that the city’s government would direct local relevant agencies to effectively implement the Irish-funded projects, including a project on supporting and taking care of the local disabled.
