President starts Cambodia visit, discusses ties with King
President Truong Tan Sang met with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni immediately after his arrival in Phnom Penh on December 23, discussing in depth the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.

King Sihamoni hailed the visit as an important milestone in the bilateral friendship and well-rounded cooperation between the two countries.
He reiterated that the Cambodia people never forget the invaluable support that the Vietnamese Party, State, government and people have given Cambodia in every circumstance as well as in the national construction and development.
Cambodia will continue pursuing fostering the great solidarity and everlasting relationship with Viet Nam, the host said.
President Truong Tan Sang said Viet Nam always treasures and appreciates the fine sentiment and assistance that King Sihamoni and the late King Norodom Sihanouk as well as the Cambodian people have given to Viet Nam in the past struggle for national independence and the current development cause.
He expressed his belief that the King, in his noble position, will continue to strengthen the ties with Viet Nam for the benefit of the two peoples.
Both host and guest shared the wish that the demarcation of land border and marker planting will be completed soon, helping build a borderline of peace, friendship, cooperation and development between the two countries.
President Truong Tan Sang asked King Sihamoni to continue creating favourable conditions for Vietnamese living in the country to fit in with the local society.
