Sen. Lieut. Gen. Do Ba Ty, Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People’s Army will attend the 12^th ASEAN Chiefs of Defence Forces Informal Meeting (ACDFIM -12) on February 9-11 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Vietnamese delegation’s participation continues to affirm the country’s role and position in the region and in the world as well as realising her policy of multilateralising and diversifying external relations and integrating into the global life in a proactive, positive and responsible fashion.

The Vietnamese army, for its part, reflects its interest in promoting the friendship with other ASEAN armies with a view of maintaining regional peace, stability and development towards the building of an ASEAN Security Community.

This is also an opportunity for Viet Nam to express its support for the host country and further bilateral relations.
