These projects are: the Hue T-junction overpass, the north-west traffic axis No 1, ring roads on the southern and northern sides of the city, the infrastructure development of the city’s Hi-tech Park, upgrades to the Phu Loc Wastewater Treatment Plant and the General Science Library, the Children's Cultural Palace, a new Phan Chau Trinh Senior High School, a new cardiovascular centre at Da Nang General Hospital, and general hospitals in Hai Chau and Hoa Vang districts.

Also in 2015, more effective support will be given to local businesses to help them overcome their current difficulties.  In particular, in early 2015 approval was given by the city authorities for the Business Development Towards 2020 project.  Special attention will be paid to improving the quality and quantity of local enterprises in a sustainable manner, and enhancing their competitive capacities.  The emphasis will be on developing more firms involved in producing exports and high-value-added goods, and expanding smaller enterprises into medium and larger ones.  Greater efforts will be made to appeal for more national and international economic groups and large-scale companies to open offices in the city.

In addition, importance will be attached to furthering the development of the local marine economy, with a focus on making Da Nang a national maritime economic hub.

In the years ahead, top priority will be given to modernising technical infrastructure for the local marine economy including the seaports, seafood processing industrial parks, fisheries centres, storm shelters for fishing boats, and high-end tourism areas.  Heed will be paid to implementing the 2nd phase of the Tien Sa Port expansion project and to building the Lien Chieu Port.

Da Nang will take the initiative in cooperating with other central coast localities to promote the development of the marine economy and also ask the central government to issue suitable policies to fully tap the strengths of each of the localities.

Chairman Tho said he hopes that Da Nang will become a more attractive, environmentally-friendly, peaceful and liveable city in the near future thanks to the joint efforts of the city authorities, local businesses and residents.
