Last Friday, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Mr Phung Tan Viet played host to Prof Marcus D Ingle from the Portland State University (PSU) in Oregon, USA.

The host and his guest exchanged experiences in increasing the number of thematic seminars, training courses and exchange programmes on urban management and public administration in the city.  They also discussed the future participation of Da Nang in the Viet Nam-Oregon Cooperation Initiative Project which is scheduled to be implemented in the central region this year.

Vice Chairman Viet thanked Prof Ingle for his active assistance given to the city’s high-ranking officials during their recent visit to Oregon State.  The city leader also said that he would like his guest to facilitate local government employees and students gaining scholarships from the PSU in the years ahead.
