He said 2015 is an important year for Viet Nam as it will mark the birth of the ASEAN Community and the enforcement of many free trade agreements.
The Vietnamese government will continue perfecting the market economy institutions, policies and laws and improving business and investment climate, making it easier for the country to integrate into the world economy.
Moroccan Ambassador and head of the diplomatic corps El Houcine Fardani hailed Viet Nam as an active and responsible member of the international community, adding that the country’s election as a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council is the world recognition of its progress in improving human rights at home.
He also praised Viet Nam for overcoming challenges regarding maritime dispute and its preparations for the 132nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) slated for this March.
The ambassador congratulated Viet Nam on having Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex recently recognised as the world cultural and natural heritage and the imperial records from Nguyen dynasty granted a certificate of the Asia-Pacific Region’s Memory of the World Programme last year.
He reiterated strong will to foster the growing ties between Viet Nam and countries as well as international organisations in the time to come.
