Finland seeks cooperation opportunities in the city
During his reception on Wednesday afternoon for the Mayor of the South Ostrobothnia region in Finland, Mr Asko Peltola, the Da Nang People's Committee Chairman, Mr Huynh Duc Tho, said that his city is willing to expand bilateral cooperative relations with Finland. The host also took the opportunity to appeal for more Finnish businesses to invest in the city, especially in the local priority aspects such as the tourism, hi-tech and information technology sectors.
Chairman Tho also remarked that Da Nang also wants to boost bilateral cooperation with Finland in the processing industry. He said that in the near future some of the city’s leaders will be visiting Europe to seek cooperation opportunities in some European countries, including Finland.

In reply, Mayor Peltola said that the purpose of his visit is to learn about the city’s socio-economic development, as well as to seek bilateral cooperation opportunities in agriculture, food safety and product distribution. A focus is also on finding partners for the 2nd phase of the Viet Nam-Finland Innovation Partnership Programme, which has been operated over the 2014 - 2018 period by the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology.
