Receiving Oscar Berninzon, the first Peruvian Ambassador to Viet Nam, the President said the early establishment of an inter-governmental mechanism between the two countries will increase current 300 million USD bilateral trade further.
The State leader expressed his hope that Peru will support Viet Nam to become a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council in the 2020-2021 tenure.
Welcoming Russian Ambassador Konstantin Vnukov, President Truong Tan Sang highlighted the two countries’ recent high political trust, built on the ties developed over the past 65 years.
He hoped for the early signing of a free trade agreement between Viet Nam and the Customs Union of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, which is expected to raise bilateral trade over the current 10 billion USD level.
While meeting with Algerian Ambassador Mohamed Berrah, the President recommended the two countries review signed agreements to increase the bilateral trade, which topped 300 million USD currently.
Receiving Brazilian Ambassador Marco Antonio, President Truong Tan Sang affirmed that Vietnam places importance to cooperation with Brazil.
The Ambassador said Brazil considers Viet Nam one of the most important partners in Asia, and vowed to double his efforts to step up bilateral affiliation in trade, investment and tourism, in particular.
