City leader hosts new Bangladeshi ambassador

During his reception on Thursday morning for the new Bangladesh Ambassador to Viet Nam, Mohammad Shahab Ullah, Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman Phung Tan Viet said his city is willing to boost bilateral cooperation with Bangladesh in the years ahead in those aspects which both parties boast great potential and strengths.

Vice Chairman Viet would like the new ambassador to encourage more Bangladeshi businesses to invest in Da Nang in such aspects as tourism, exporting, pharmaceuticals, information technology and hi- tech.

In addition, Mr Viet pledged that the local authorities would create more preferential policies for Bangladeshi businesses to operate effectively in the city.

The Bangladeshi ambassador said that he was very impressed by the city’s dynamic growth over recent years, especially in its infrastructure, tourism environment, and the beautiful, clean and modern urban landscape. 

The foreign ambassador promised that he would make every effort to boost bilateral friendship and multi-faceted cooperation between Da Nang and Bangladesh's capital city of Dhaka in the near future.
