During his meeting on Wednesday to review the performance of local Party organisations, Da Nang Party Committee Deputy Secretary Vo Cong Tri stressed the need for local relevant agencies to take effective measures to successfully fulfil the city’s socio-economic development targets prior to the 21^st Congress of the municipal Party Committee which is expected to be held in October. 

Greater efforts will be made to collect domestic taxes, prevent tax evasion and settle outstanding debts.  Importance will be attached to accelerating the implementation of the city’s key projects, especially the delayed ones.  The emphasis will be on speeding up the site clearance and relocation of 101 families in the Cau Vong area near the Con Market in order to allow the rebuilding of the market to commence.

Heed will be paid to preparatory work for the forthcoming workshop to evaluate the city’s Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), with a focus on identifying effective ways to secure its top position.  Every effort will be made to expedite the establishment of the 2^nd phase of the specialised shopping area on Le Duan street, as well as to launch various interesting activities to stimulate summer tourism, and adequately prepare for the Da Nang Light Festival 2015 which will take place in September.
