National socio-economic development tasks discussed
On Monday, some National Assembly (NA) members from Da Nang and other localities nationwide discussed tasks for this year's national socio-economic development. The event was part of the ongoing 9th session of the 13th NA in Ha Noi.
The Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council (PC) and Head of the city's NA members' group, Mr Huynh Nghia, stressed the need to increase the management of the State budget and public investment. Detailed policies should be issued to promote rural area upgrade programmes as well as to step up administrative reforms and anti-corruption efforts.

Stronger measures will be taken to accelerate the implementation of the Government Decree regarding fisheries development policies. Special attention will be paid to keeping a close eye on the equitisation process of State-owned enterprises nationwide in order to minimise the loss of State property.
Another local NA member, Mr Than Duc Nam, suggested that the country’s banking sector should adjust some of its credit policies to adapt with the real situation. Importance should be attached to setting up loan support centres in order to facilitate small and medium-sized enterprises nationwide to access bank loans more easily.
