City leader meets local voters
Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Tran Tho and 2 members from the municipal People’s Council met voters from the Hoa Hai and Hoa Quy wards in Ngu Hanh Son District on Tuesday. The purpose was to collect matters raised by local voters in preparation for the upcoming 14th session of the municipal People’s Council in its 8th tenure.
The concerns of the voters focussed on site clearance and relocation work, environmental pollution, lighting and traffic systems in local rural areas, and the building of community houses. In addition, they complained about the complicated procedures and delays in granting land ownership certificates to local residents. They also pointed out that production establishments in the Non Nuoc stone carving village are facing difficulties in their business activities.

Secretary Tho urged local relevant agencies to deal with complaints and recommendations made by the voters about issues related to the State management of different aspects as soon as possible. Importance should be attached to re-checking delayed projects which are affecting the lives of local residents, and clearly identifying the main causes for the delays in deploying these projects.
The city’s leader also directed the district’s authorities to speed up the upgrade of the district’s main streets, and asking the existing carving establishments in the village to move to a new dedicated production area 2km away from the current site. In addition, special attention should be paid to ensuring social welfare.
