On Wednesday, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Tran Tho and 2 members from the municipal People’s Council met voters from the Khue My and My An wards in Ngu Hanh Son District to listen to issues of concern raised by them.

Secretary Tho reported that top priority will be given to developing tourism and services into local spearhead economic sectors in the years ahead and boosting the development of the local hi-tech industry to make strategic breakthroughs in the city’s progress.

With regard to relocation work, he highlighted the city’s effective allocation of residential land lots to local displaced families affected by the city’s development projects.  The municipal People’s Committee has made suitable adjustments to the earmarking of land for social welfare projects such as hospitals, schools and green spaces.  He added that 300 resettlement land lots in Cam Le District’s Hoa Xuan Ward and Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Chau Commune would be auctioned off soon.  Bidders must be families or married couples who have no home of their own, and they must be permanent residents of Da Nang.

The city’s leader asked local relevant agencies and the Ngu Hanh Son District authorities to deal promptly with any complaints and recommendations made by the voters.  The focus should be on speeding up the upgrading of the historical relic site K20, Tran Hoanh Street, and an approach road to the city’s SOS Children’s Village.

Special attention will be paid to installing traffic lights on Le Van Hien street, dealing with environmental pollution caused by production activities at the district’s Dang Hai Concrete Company, and naming some internal roads in My An Ward’s residential areas.  In addition, the city’s authorities will carefully consider the building of community houses and decide the suitable operational model for the city’s Cancer Hospital which is located in the district.
