Vietnamese PM highlights all-round ties with Algeria
The Vietnamese Government and people wish to consolidate traditional and multifaceted cooperation with Algeria, which is a priority in the Southeast Asian nation’s foreign policy, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung told Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika on June 1 (local time).

At their meeting in Algiers, PM Nguyen Tan Dung congratulated the host on his re-election as the President for the fourth term and attainments that the Algerian people have achieved in national stability, reconciliation, reform, and development.
He said the Vietnamese people always remember Algeria’s enormous assistance to their country in the national liberation and development.
For his part, President Bouteflika said both nations should keep nurturing their traditional amity and highly valued outcomes of the talks between the two PMs, especially the agreement on tightening links in fields like politics, economy, culture, education, defence, and security.
He also expressed his support to Viet Nam’s stance on peacefully settling disputes in the Bien Dong (East Sea) with respect to international law, ultimately ensuring peace, stability, and maritime security and safety in the region.
