On Tuesday, the Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr Nguyen Ngoc Tuan, played host to the General Director of AkzoNobel Paint Viet Nam, Mr David Teng.

Vice Chairman Tuan spoke highly of the company’s joint involvement in efforts with the municipal authorities to promote local progress.  He said that he would like the company to help the city to implement some of its projects.  These include repainting a public building which is a local symbol, repairing and maintaining some local educational and sports facilities, and being consultants for the implementation of local public transport works, traffic signs and public bus systems.

In reply, Mr Teng pledged that his company is willing to help the city to implement the projects as requested by the city leader.  In addition his company will offer advice to the city about either repainting all the bridges across the Han River, or making local routes more colourful in order to maintain them as impressive attractions.
