During his meeting on Tuesday with the Da Nang People’s Committee Vice Chairman, Mr Phung Tan Viet, the Chairman of the Executive Board of the World Vision Korea (WVK), Mr Chul Shin Lee, expressed his delight at the city’s remarkable achievements over recent years. 

The Korean guest affirmed that his organisation would continue its efforts to enhance the bilateral cooperation with Da Nang, and with Viet Nam as a whole.

In reply, Vice Chairman Viet affirmed that his city has used WVK’s funds effectively in promoting local socio-economic development over recent years.

He spoke highly of WVK‘s help given to Da Nang to significantly improve the living conditions of local residents, with the focus being on increasing the quality of local education and healthcare.  In addition, the city leader said he would like WVK to continue its support for the city in the years ahead.

Since 2000, the WVK has granted a total of over 6 million USD to Hoa Vang District to implement its community development programme.  This programme, which will end by late 2016, aims to benefit local children, promote the development of local agriculture, and improve the quality of the local healthcare service.
