City leader lays wreaths in memory of late former Russian Prime Minister

On Tuesday, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Phung Tan Viet visited and laid wreaths at the Consulate General of Russia in Da Nang in memory of former Russian Prime Minister (PM) and Foreign Minister Yevgeny Primakov.
In his note in the condolences book, Vice Chairman Viet expressed his deepest sympathy to the leaders and people of Russia, and the late former Russian PM’s family.
Primakov, who passed away on 26 June at the age of 85, served as Foreign Minister between 1996 and 1998 and Prime Minister in 1998 and 1999. He made great efforts to boost the bilateral cooperative relationship with Viet Nam.
