Meeting Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung in Ha Noi on July 14, Takebe also promised to call for Japanese investment in the Hoa Lac hi-tech park, the north-south high-speed railway and the Long Thanh international airport.

He pledged to continue facilitating the reception of Vietnamese agriculture trainees to Japan and cultural and people-to-people exchanges.

The guest assured his host that he will convey the PM’s proposal to survey the planting of wildly-popular cherry blossom trees in Viet Nam to Japanese leaders upon his return.

The Vietnamese PM, for his part, asked Takebe to push bilateral hi-tech farming and fisheries cooperation forward, invite Japanese inflows into Viet Nam’s major projects and receive more Vietnamese workers, nurses and trainees to Japan.
