People's Council discusses issues of deep local concern

At the ongoing 14th session of the Da Nang People’s Council for the 2011 - 2016 term, municipal Party Committee Secretary Tran Tho remarked that reasonable solutions would be found to the main matters of deep concern raised by local voters.

The city’s leader also noted that resolutions about the main tasks for the second half of the year and other local important issues would be adopted during the session for the sake of improving the lives of local residents.

In his speech at the event, municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Dang Viet Dung highlighted the vital role of the city’s tourism providers and the quality of local services in boosting the development of local tourism.

Under the guidance of Secretary Tho, the People’s Council members were divided into different groups to discuss local socio-economic issues and some relating to security and defence.

Also at the event, the city’s People’s Committee was asked to propose to the central government that they would temporarily stop the collection of the road maintenance fees from motorcycle owners. 

The members at the session totally agreed that the city’s Cancer Hospital should become a public medical establishment under the management of the municipal Department of Health. 

In addition, the local authorities will revoke the investment licence of the city’s dedicated IT Park project in Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Lien Commune due to delays in its implementation.  The Da Nang IT Park Development Joint Stock Company was the project’s developer.
