Pressing issues for discussion at upcoming session of People's Council
On Thursday, the Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council and Head of the city's NA members' group, Mr Huynh Nghia, chaired a press conference with representatives from local and centrally-run media agencies. The purpose was to introduce to them the agenda for the 14th session of the municipal People’s Council in the 2011 - 2016 tenure.
The session will take place between 7 and 9 July in the meeting hall of the People’s Council at 42 Bach Dang Street.

Vice Chairman Nghia revealed the main matters of deep concern which have been collected at the recent meetings between city leaders and local voters, and they will be discussed at the upcoming session.
The issues include: the operational model for the city’s Cancer Hospital; the collection of the road maintenance fees from motorcycle owners; the granting of land ownership certificates to some local households in Ngu Hanh Son District; wastewater treatment fees; and the removal of canopies over the fronts of businesses, shops and houses along some of the city’s major streets. In addition, disciplinary measures imposed on units and individuals for their inaccurate reports about local resettlement land lots will be discussed.
Also at the forthcoming event, voting will take place for the post of Vice Chairperson of the city’s People’s Council, members of its Permanent Board, and members of the municipal People’s Committee in the 2011-2016 tenure.
